Picked a monthly spread over a weekly one for June

I always used weekly spreads because I like seeing each day broken out. But last month I decided to try a monthly spread instead with just a simple calendar and task list. It was weird at first not having room for hourly schedules, but I actually got more done because I wasn't overplanning my days. The catch was I missed having a space for random notes, so I added a little side column for those. Anyone else switch layouts and find they work better for certain months?

Wait wait wait... you really just use a basic monthly calendar now? No hourly breakdown at all? That blows my mind because I tried that once for a busy month and I was completely lost by the second week. I need something to actually write in my appointments and deadlines or else they just float around in my brain and I forget everything. Adding a side column for random notes is a good idea though, I never thought of that. Maybe I should give it another shot for a month that's not super packed with work stuff. I guess different months really do call for different layouts, like how some months I absolutely need a daily spread.

@robert_hayes actually you're the one who brought up the side column first.
