Shoutout to the $4 watercolor set from the craft store. I tried painting a monthly cover page and it bled through three pages of my Leuchtturm.

Margaretj40 is right, but that cheap paint bleeds worse than anything I've ever used.

Check the paper weight on that Leuchtturm. Their standard notebooks use pretty thin paper. Watercolor needs something much thicker to handle the wetness. You might want a dedicated mixed media or watercolor sketchbook next time. That cheap paint isn't really the problem here.

Yeah, that thin paper is a nightmare with any wet media. I ruined a whole spread before I figured it out. Now I just keep a separate watercolor pad for anything involving brushes.
