Shoutout to the post-it note that saved my June spread

I was at a coffee shop on Tuesday trying to finish my June monthly layout. My pen leaked all over the date column so bad you couldn't read anything. I grabbed a napkin to wipe it and made an even bigger mess. Then I stuck a bright yellow post-it right over the whole ruined section and rewrote the dates on it. It looks janky but now I actually use the spread instead of avoiding it. Anyone else have a messy fix that ended up working better than the original?

Scribble over a mistake and call it a feature, right? It's funny how our brains work - once something looks imperfect we stop obsessing over making it perfect and actually use it. I've noticed that applies across the board, not just in planners. The friend who finally admits they don't have it all figured out is way easier to actually hang out with. That janky post-it probably did more for your productivity than a pristine spread ever would have.

The japanese actually have a word for this - kintsugi, where they fix broken pottery with gold and make the cracks the best part of the piece. That post-it approach is basically the same thing @tarac16, turning what looks like a screwup into the thing that actually makes it work.
