Spent $35 on a fancy washi tape set and it totally backfired

I thought getting a 10-pack of decorative washi tapes would make my weekly spreads pop, but the adhesive is so weak they peel off after two days. I kept finding strips stuck to my sleeve and my cat almost ate one. My old $2 roll from the dollar store holds way better and doesn't wrinkle. Anyone else had bad luck with those pricey tape sets from Amazon? What brands actually stick around?

Those "premium" Amazon tape sets are a total gamble. Did you check if it's actually labeled as washi or if it's just decorative masking tape that looks the same?

Cheap Amazon resellers slap a premium label on basic masking tape and call it washi.
