Started using a monthly habit tracker after years of skipping it
I kept a bullet journal for about 5 years but never bothered with a habit tracker. I figured I could just remember what I did each day. Then last November I missed taking my vitamins for 12 days straight and didn't realize it until my doctor asked about it. I drew up a simple 31-day grid for December with 6 habits listed down the side, and it took maybe 5 minutes to set up. Has anyone else found a specific layout that finally made habit tracking stick for them?

That simple 31-day grid you described is basically what finally clicked for me too. A horizontal layout with the days across the top and habits down the side, just checkboxes. I kept trying those fancy minimalist tracker spreads with symbols and color coding but it was too much maintenance. Turns out I just needed blank squares and a pen that lives on the page. The key was keeping it to 5 habits max, anything more and I'd forget to even look at the thing.

Does keeping it to 5 consistently actually work for you though? I find that limiting myself like that just makes me cram unrelated things into one box to fake the streak.
