That old school dot grid hack I ignored for years actually saves me time
Used to draw all my tracker boxes by hand and it took forever. Now I just mark every 5th dot down the page and connect with a ruler, 10 minutes saved per spread. Anyone else got a basic trick they wish they'd found sooner?

Oh boy, a friend of mine was doing hand-lettered signs for a local church event. She spent what felt like hours drawing those little grid boxes for each letter. Another friend showed her how to use a simple index card with the spacing marked on the edge as a ruler. Just slide it along and pencil in your guidelines. She said it cut her prep time in half and she couldn't believe she'd never thought of it before.

Tbh that's the kind of hack you look back on and feel like a total idiot for not figuring out sooner, just like @luna_craig58's friend. I can already picture myself spending an hour drawing grid lines for a sign while someone walks by with an index card and finishes in ten minutes. Ngl that would sting a little but you'd also be grateful for the tip. Sliding a marked card along is so simple it almost hurts.
