Unpopular opinion: I switched from a weekly to a monthly task list in my bullet journal 3 months ago and my productivity tanked.
I used to get 90% of my weekly tasks done, but now I'm lucky to hit 50% each month, so is it better to see the big picture or do you need the pressure of a shorter deadline?

Ever tried a 3-day list instead?

Honestly the real problem is mixing up urgent with important. A 3-day list might make you miss a client call, but it forces you to see what actually moves the needle. Like last week I skipped a "urgent" team meeting to finish a project plan, and it was the right call. The meeting notes got sent anyway. Sometimes the cracks are just busywork.

Three day lists just let urgent stuff slip through the cracks. I tried it last month and missed a key client deadline. The extra planning time isn't worth the risk.
