My band saw blade snapped during a prime rib order

I was at my shop in Tacoma breaking down a 109 rib for a big holiday order. The blade just popped with a loud bang halfway through the bone. I had to finish the cut by hand with a breaking knife, which took an extra 20 minutes and threw my whole morning off. Has anyone else had a blade go at the worst possible time, and what's your backup plan?

Murphy's law always hits during a rush.

@abbychen you hit the nail on the head. The other day I was in the middle of a big spreadsheet deadline and my keyboard just up and stopped working. Not slowly, not with a warning. It just went dead right as I was trying to type the last number. Ended up typing everything on my phone screen like a fool. Murphy's law sure has a mean sense of timing.

Tell me about it. My printer jammed yesterday right as I was trying to finish a time-sensitive report. Of course it waited until the last possible second to give up on me. Why does everything break at the worst time?
