Rant: Old timer told me to use a wet towel on my board
Guy at the shop swore it would stop slipping. Tried it yesterday and almost lost a finger on a pork shoulder. Anyone else get bad advice from the old guard?

Maybe the wetness helped render fat that would've just dried out otherwise.
