Showerthought: a dull blade almost cost me a whole Saturday of deer processing
Last Saturday a guy dropped off three deer at my place in Springfield and I figured I'd knock them out by noon. My grinder blade had a nick I kept telling myself I'd fix, and about halfway through the second deer it started smearing the meat instead of cutting it. I stopped, dug out my spare plate and blade, and lost almost two hours cleaning up the mess. Now I keep a second set sharpened and ready in a drawer instead of trusting my memory. Any of you run two grinders just so you're never stuck mid batch?
