A sharp pain in my wrist after a long day of sanding has me worried.

I was finishing a custom cabinet project and spent hours sanding by hand. Now my wrist is throbbing, and I'm concerned it might be the start of carpal tunnel. Has anyone else dealt with this, and what stretches or tools help prevent it?

Check how much your sander weighs... mine feels like it weighs a ton and that extra strain is brutal.

Yeah the weight thing is real... my old one was maybe two pounds heavier and by the end of a big project my whole arm would be dead. Finley_craig53 has a point about posture too, but if the tool itself is a brick it just kills you faster. Try sanding something overhead with a heavy model, you'll feel it in your shoulder for days. It's the combo of bad weight and a weird angle that really does you in.

Try checking your grip and posture instead.
