Can we talk about the client who wanted her spice rack to match her grandmother's tea tin
Spent 3 hours last Tuesday at a kitchen in Glendale with a tape measure and a customer holding up an old dented tea tin from 1962, saying she wanted the spice pullout to feel like "that green." I gave up matching by eye and instead shot a photo with my phone, pulled the color from it at the bench, and mixed a test batch of stain on maple before I touched the walnut. What's your go-to when a customer hands you a beat up heirloom and says "make it look like this"?
