Customer asked me to skip the finish, 2 years later they called me back
A guy in Denver insisted on raw oak for his kitchen cabs, said he loved the natural feel. I warned him about water rings and grease buildup, but he waved me off. Sure enough, he called last month asking if I could fix the stains, and I had to tell him the only fix is a full sand and refinish. Has anyone else had a client who regretted skipping the topcoat, or do you just let them own the mistake?
