Had a drawer slide fail on a big built-in right before delivery
I was finishing up a big built-in for a living room here in Austin. It was a set of six drawers, all with soft-close slides. I went to test the last one and the whole slide just gave out. The metal part that holds the drawer on the cabinet side snapped clean off. It happened yesterday afternoon, about two hours before the client was set to come see it. I had to pull the whole drawer box out, chisel out the old slide, and put in a new one. The worst part was the screw holes from the old one were in the way, so I had to patch and redrill. Has anyone else had a slide just break like that? I used a brand I've had good luck with for years, so it was a real surprise.

My buddy had a slide snap on a kitchen job last month. The whole drawer face hit the floor. What brand were you using?

Wow, that's rough, but honestly I've had great luck with that brand for years.
