Heard a guy at the lumber yard say plywood is plywood. Had to set him straight.

Was picking up some Baltic birch for a built-in job and this dude in line goes 'just get the cheap stuff, it's all the same.' Told him about the time I used big box store ply on a kitchen job and had voids in every other sheet. The face veneer was so thin you could see the glue line through the stain. Had to scrap two doors and redo them. Cost me an extra day and $150 in material. What's your cutoff for when you absolutely won't cheap out on ply?

Ugh, I mean is it really that serious though? Like yeah cheap ply sucks but I've used it for tons of shop jigs and temp stuff and it's fine.

Man @adams.harper you clearly never had a finish job fail on you because of junk ply.
