Old timer at the lumber yard warned me about that new pre-cat lacquer
He told me point blank, 'It's too fast for big doors, you'll get orange peel every time.' I brushed him off and sprayed four 36-inch maple panels last Thursday. Every single one came out rough, like sandpaper. Had to strip and redo the whole job with my usual conversion varnish. Anyone else run into issues with fast-dry finishes on large surfaces?

Actually think the worst way is being right but too late to help. Like seeing the cat jump but after the vase already hits the floor. That "if only I spoke up" feeling is brutal.
