That mitre saw stand I swore was a gimmick changed my back forever

I spent YEARS hauling my big saw around on a folding workmate like some kind of caveman. My buddy kept telling me to get one of those wheeled stands with the arms that extend out. I told him it looked like a fancy lawn chair and there was NO WAY it could hold up to real work. Finally after a $250 job in Omaha where I tweaked my back lifting the saw for the 5th time I caved and got the Dewalt DWX726. Man was I wrong. The setup is faster, the material support is actually legit for long panels, and my lower back has not complained once in the 4 months since. Has anyone else had a tool they thought was overhyped turn out to be a lifesaver?

My Milwaukee packout vacuum was that tool for me. Kept seeing everyone rave about it online and figured it was just hype, finally grabbed one during a sale and now I can't imagine site cleanup without it. Sometimes the stuff that looks like overkill really does solve problems you didn't even know you had.

So did you find yourself actually ORGANIZING your tools differently to take better advantage of the Packout setup, or is the vacuum just that good on its own?
