That week in July when everything warped on me
Had a batch of cherry come in that looked fine, but three days later every single door panel had cupped bad. Anybody else ever get burned by a bad lumber supplier when the humidity spikes?

Stopped trusting my regular guy after a load of red oak did the same thing last summer. Switched to a supplier who dries everything in-house and checks moisture content before shipping, havent had a cupping issue since. Stick with someone who kiln dries their own stock and you'll save yourself a headache.

Man my buddy Tom had the exact same disaster last year with some "kiln dried" maple from a big box store. Ended up laying a whole kitchen floor and by the time fall came around half the boards were cupping so bad you could trip on the seams. He had to tear it all up and start over, cost him a fortune and his wife was not happy about living with a half done kitchen for two months. Now he drives 45 minutes to a guy who lets him check the moisture meter himself before he even loads the truck.
