That YouTube guy who said pocket screws are fine for face frames got me thinking
Been building cabinets 12 years now and I still use pocket screws for face frames. This weekend I'm at a shop walkthrough in Portland and this old timer sees my work and goes "pocket holes again?" He said every single one of his 300+ kitchens uses dowels only. Makes me wonder if I'm taking the easy way out. The guy showed me a joint he made 20 years ago that's still tight as day one. Has anyone here ever switched from pocket screws to dowels or Dominoes and felt like it was worth the extra time?

Keep a clipboard or a notes app on your phone. Count by groups of five or ten and mark them down. It's way too easy to lose track when you're in the middle of a big job like that. I've done similar counts for school supplies and you always think you'll remember, but you never do.
