Vent: had to pick between a splurge domino joiner or sticking with dowels for a kitchen job

Last month I had a 12-door shaker kitchen bid and the client asked if we could speed it up. I went back and forth on renting a domino for the weekend versus my old dowel jig, and honestly the domino paid for itself in half a day, but now I'm wondering if I should just buy one for the next big job. Anyone else made the switch and never looked back, or still rolling with dowels on certain builds?
