Blew a fuse on a Cat6 run in a crawlspace last Tuesday in Nashville

I was pulling a 100-foot run through this tight crawlspace, temp was pushing 90 degrees easy. Finished the termination and went to test with my Fluke, got nothing. Turns out I nicked the jacket on a sharp HVAC duct joint and shorted the whole thing. Anybody got a trick for protecting cable where you can't avoid metal edges?

Not a "trick" thing. Use split loom tubing. Prevents this.
