Coax vs flat ribbon for a long attic run - one was way faster

I had to run a line from the demark to the far end of a 3 story house in Austin last week. Tried using flat ribbon cable first cause I had it on the truck. What a nightmare. Kept snagging on insulation and joists. Switched to regular RG6 coax and it slid right through. Is there a trick to running ribbon in tight spaces or do you guys just avoid it?

Learned that lesson the hard way too. Flat ribbon hates me.

Oh man, I gotta disagree with you a bit here. Flat ribbon cables are actually my jam once you figure out the trick. See, the key is you gotta use like a tiny flathead screwdriver or even a spudger to gently lift one end of the connector before you even try to pull it out. I used to just yank at them and they'd always tear on me, but now I take that extra 10 seconds and they come out perfect every time. My last build had like four of those tiny ribbon cables for the front panel and I got them all seated on the first try without swearing once. Trust me, give it another shot with a little tool, it changes everything.
