Heard a new guy on a job in Tucson say 'drip loops are just extra slack' and I had to walk away
That one line tells me his trainer never showed him what a rain path does to a fitting, so now I know to check every drop he hangs. What's the worst piece of 'training' you've heard handed down to a green tech?
Heard a new guy say drip loops are just extra slack" is the kind of line that follows me home and keeps me up at night. My own worst moment was a guy who told me to just wrap any splice in tape and call it good, rain never gets in there anyway. It rains sideways here and I spent the next month going back to redo every single one of those wraps. I learned more from that mess than from any class. My first year was basically a tour of every dumb shortcut out there.
