I finally found why a job in Mesa took 9 tries to pass signal

Spent 4 days chasing a bad upstream on a 16 unit MDU, swapping splitters and re-terminating every drop in the building. Turned out the builder had stapled a coax run so tight against a stud that the center conductor was crushed flat, and it only showed up on my tester at 1 particular outlet. Has anyone else had a staple gun ruin a whole afternoon like that?
