I taped a connector wrong for 2 months and my tester finally told me why
So I kept getting callbacks on a batch of installs in the Maple Grove area, and I could not figure out why the signal was dropping. Last Tuesday I was at a house and hooked up my Klein tester, and it showed a short in a line I had just put a new connector on. Turns out I was pushing the stinger too far past the dielectric, so it was bending back and touching the braid. I redid all 14 ends on that job and every single one passed the sweep test. Anybody else ever have a tester call you out on something your hands swore was fine?
