Just hit 5000 feet of coax pulled in one day by myself

I was running line through a new apartment complex in Phoenix and the foreman challenged me to beat my personal best. Ended up at 5030 feet by quitting time and my shoulders feel like they're on fire today. Has anyone else tried to track their daily footage and found a trick to push past 4000?

Have you ever tried using a figure-eight looping method on your pulls? It's something I picked up from old phone guys and it saves your back a lot. You coil the first few hundred feet into a loose figure-eight pattern on the ground so the line feeds off without kinking or tangling. That way you're not fighting the coil as it gets heavier. Also, if you have a helper just walking the line out behind you it cuts the drag and you can squeeze out another 500 feet easy. Just make sure you're wearing those padded shoulder strap rigs, that drywall dust in Phoenix will tear up your skin otherwise.

Damn, 5000 feet in one day in Phoenix heat? You're a madman. I'd be questioning my life choices after about 2000 feet, let alone that. But hey, if the foreman's throwing down a challenge like that, you gotta show him what's up. Just hope your shoulders don't quit on you tomorrow morning when you try to get out of bed, that's gonna be a rude awakening with a side of ibuprofen.
