My garage LED setup taught me a new way to splice cables
So I was doing this LED strip install in my garage over the weekend. Got to the part where I had to join wires above the ceiling tiles. Remembered I had some solder seal connectors from a job last month. Gave them a shot and wow, the connections are solid and weatherproof. Honestly, I'm using these for everything now, even on regular cable runs.

Honestly the heat gun part with those solder seal connectors always makes me nervous. What's your trick for getting even heat on all sides without melting the outer sheath? I messed up a few by holding the gun too close on one spot.
