My lead installer swore by the '5 foot rule' for coax bends...

Guy with 20 years in the field told me to never bend coax tighter than a 5 foot radius or it'll mess up the signal. First job solo, I had to squeeze a line around a tight corner in an attic and figured 'close enough' was fine. Customer called next day saying their internet kept dropping out - anyone else find out that rule is actually real the hard way?

Honestly ran into the same thing with an RG6 behind a fridge once, total nightmare for the signal after that.

Has anyone checked if the issue was actually the bend or maybe the connector got stressed too? When you force a tight bend near a compression fitting, it can pull the center conductor loose inside the jacket even if the outside looks fine. I had a job where a 90 degree bend near the wall plate looked okay but the signal kept cutting out. Re-terminating the connector with a little slack fixed it, not the bend itself.
