My old lead guy told me to always leave a drip loop, and after 12 years I finally saw why
Back when I started in 2012, a guy named Reggie told me on my first solo job in Gary, Indiana to always leave a drip loop before the box, even on indoor runs. I figured he was just being picky, but last month a customer's line kept cutting out every time it rained. Turns out water was running straight down the cable into the connector, and that little loop would've sent it to the floor. Anyone else got a small habit from an old timer that saved your butt later?
