Switched from crimp connectors to compression fittings for outdoor cable runs

Last month I did 12 house re-runs using compression fittings after years of using crimp connectors, and not a single one has come back with signal loss. The water sealing on these is just way better (obviously) but has anyone else found they last longer in wet weather?

That "crimps always let moisture in eventually" hit home for me. I switched to compression fittings on all my outdoor cable work last year and haven't had a single issue since, even after heavy storms. The extra seal around the cable really makes a difference in blocking out the wet weather over time.
