The fiber push in Phoenix is getting wild

Last week I was running a new drop for a house in Mesa and the homeowner said three different companies had come to his door in the same month. He showed me flyers from each one, all promising gig speeds for under $80. Back in 2021, it was just the big two fighting over copper upgrades. Now I'm seeing crews from smaller local outfits on almost every block. How do you even explain the real difference to customers when the ads all sound the same?

Man, that's the whole job right now. Trying to explain why one fiber line is better than another when the ads just scream about price and speed. You end up talking about stuff customers never think about, like who actually owns the lines in the ground or how quick their repair truck shows up at 2 AM. It's a real headache when the choice feels like six flavors of the same thing.

Honestly, it reminds me of picking a cereal. The box looks great, but you're really just hoping it doesn't go soggy in two minutes.

Exactly. You're basically paying for the hope the internet doesn't crap out.
