TIL hiding cable boxes in a closet wrecks your TV signal
I just saw a home renovation where they tucked all the boxes away to make things look clean. That move always leads to weak signals and choppy pictures. For example, one client had their cable box two rooms over and wondered why their sports games kept freezing. I had to explain that longer cable runs mean more signal loss, no matter how nice it looks. Spending extra on boosters or relocating the gear close to the TV fixes it. Honestly, if you care about reliable service, stop prioritizing hideaways over function. A tidy setup is great, but not when it means constant service calls.

Two rooms over for a cable box (that's a sure way to ruin game day).

What's the story behind that setup... seems weird.

Honestly, it's just a cable box. How much lag could it really add? People get worked up over the smallest things.
