A customer's one question about a lens fungus reshaped how I clean

I had a guy in Portland bring in a 50mm that was full of fungus, and he asked why I wasn't checking the rear element for haze first. I used to just wipe the front glass and call it fixed, but he was right, the haze was throwing off the whole image. Now I always do a full inspection with a $15 loupe before touching anything, and it's saved me from three do-overs this month. Anyone else run into a customer who actually knew more than you on the bench?
