Appreciation post: That $150 ultrasonic cleaner I almost returned last month

Got it off Amazon on a whim to clean some old shutter blades. First batch did nothing and I was cursing myself for wasting the money. Left some seized up aperture rings in there for 20 minutes by accident and they came out looking brand new. Now I run everything through it before I even start a CLA. Saved me hours of scrubbing. Anyone else find a cheap tool that just works way better than you expected?

Oh, @abbychen, I actually had this happen with a random subplot that ended up tying the whole story together without meaning to. Did you ever try keeping something that felt out of place just to see if it worked?
