Had a shutter curtain spring launch across my shop in Boise last Thursday
I was replacing the shutter curtain on a Nikon F2 and that tiny little spring took off like a rocket when I slipped with my tweezers. Ended up finding it stuck to the side of a magnet I use for holding screws, after I'd already ordered a replacement set online. Anybody got a trick for keeping those springs from launching in the first place?

Wrap a clear plastic bag around the area before you even touch that spring.

Wait, you've actually done that before?

Nope, never wrapped a bag around anything like that lmao. But @kai657 might be onto something, I can already picture myself trying to hold a spring in place with one hand while wrestling with a bag that keeps popping open. Honestly, I'd probably end up trapping my own hand in the bag instead of the spring, classic me move.
