Had to choose between a CLA kit and a new shutter for a beat up K1000
Tbh I went with the CLA kit for the Pentax because the shutter seemed fine, just sticky. But the thing had a light leak I missed and now I gotta redo the foam seals. Anyone else make the cheaper choice and regret it?

Totally feel you on this one. Yeah, those foam seals are a sneaky thing that can really mess up a roll. It's always the little stuff that gets you after you think you've solved the big problem.

What in the world? Those foam seals are a nightmare. I fixed one on a friend's machine last month and it took me longer to get that little strip to stay put than to replace the whole roller. You think you've got it lined up perfect and then it slides off again.
