Slammed my coffee cup down when I read this. Wait, the old Argus shutters have a rubberized bumper that degrades over time and turns into this sticky, gooey mess inside the mechanism? That's why they freeze up even in dry weather? How come nobody mentions that in the repair manuals or online guides I've seen?
