Rant: My Yashica shutter got stuck at a swap meet in Philly

I was at a camera swap meet in Philly last Sunday, showing off a Yashica Electro 35 I just cleaned up. Went to fire the shutter for a potential buyer and it just locked up tight, wouldn't budge. Turned out the little linkage arm had slipped off the solenoid plunger. I had to pop the bottom plate off right there on the table with a tiny screwdriver, got it back on, and it worked after that. Has anyone else had this happen mid-demo and had to fix it on the spot?

little linkage arm" - that's actually called the actuating lever, not linkage.

Actually, calling it an "actuating lever" might be technically correct, but in shop talk everyone just calls it the linkage arm (you know, until something breaks). The real issue people miss is that the bushing on that pivot point wears down way faster than the lever itself, which is the part @harperschmidt should watch for if they're tearing it down. Think about replacing that bushing first, and the whole thing will feel like new without splitting hairs over names.
