That old Leica M3 light leak finally clicked after a customer's 2 word tip
A guy brought in his 1962 Leica M3 with a weird light leak that showed up only on sunny days, and I spent 2 weekends chasing it around the shutter curtains without luck. He watched me for a bit and just said 'check the strap lug.' It turned out the lug screws had backed out a quarter turn, letting light sneak right through the top plate, and a dab of thread locker fixed it in 20 minutes. Anyone else had a customer casually solve something you'd been fighting for days?
