Oh man, that is totally my luck too! I dropped off a beat-up Canonet for a shutter repair and walked out with a full CLA on three cameras after the guy showed me all the congealed grease inside. It stung at first, but honestly having them all running smooth now feels like a win.

Read a story once where a guy sent in one old camera for a simple fix. The repair shop found a bunch of other issues, like dried up grease and slow shutters. Ended up costing way more than he planned, but he said it was worth it to have them all working perfectly again.
