Tried a cheap ultrasonic cleaner and it actually fixed my sticky shutter
I was super skeptical about those $60 ultrasonic cleaners on Amazon but grabbed one after a buddy in Portland swore by his. Ran a sticky shutter blade from a Pentax K1000 through it with some general cleaning solution and it freed right up after 10 minutes. Has anyone else had luck with these budget cleaners or did I just get lucky?

Swapped lenses with a buddy who had the exact same problem on his Canon AE-1. He tried everything - lighter fluid, alcohol, even leaving it in rice for a weekend. Got frustrated and tossed it in one of those cheap Amazon cleaners figuring he had nothing to lose. Came out working perfectly after two cycles. He's been telling everyone about it ever since, kinda annoying honestly but I get it.
