Tuesday was the weirdest repair day I can remember in 10 years

Started off with a Nikon F3 that just needed new light seals, easy enough. Then a guy walks in with a 1940s Kodak folder that somehow had mud and gravel inside the bellows. Three hours later I'm still picking dirt out of that thing, and a lady drops off a Leica that got run over by a car but the lens survived. What's the strangest thing you've found inside a camera?

Six rolls of 35mm film that had been through a washing machine. Customer said they forgot it in their jeans pocket. The film cans were waterlogged and the paper backing was basically mush. Had to fish out the spools with tweezers. Figured if they survived that, they deserved to see what came out. What were they shooting, family photos?

Ngl that Leica story is wild. Had a customer bring in a Pentax that fell off a motorcycle at like 60mph once, the prism was totally shattered but the lens mount was still straight. Took me four hours to get all the glass dust out of the mirror box. Sounds like you had a full shift of pain though, that Kodak folder sounds like a nightmare to clean out.
