Unpopular opinion: hitting 500 shutter actuations on my bench counter told me more about my repair business than any review ever did
I was logging jobs last Tuesday night and the tally came to 500 shutters tested since I started keeping the notebook back in January, which sounds like nothing until you remember each one is a camera somebody trusted me with. I flipped back through the pages and saw 40 or so jobs where the fix was just a dried seal or a loose flex, no parts needed, and honestly those quick ones taught me more about where to look first than the tough rebuilds ever did. Curious if anyone else keeps a running count of repairs, or am I the only one weird enough to do that?
