Tried watching Firefly in one night to see if the hype was real, and now I get why people are still mad 20 years later
I sat down last Friday around 8pm and ran the whole first season of Firefly (14 episodes) back to back, and by 3am I was weirdly angry at a TV network for something that happened before I was in high school. The thing that got me is how the last few episodes clearly set up bigger stories (Inara leaving, the Reaver stuff, Book's past) that just got dropped when Fox pulled it after 11 aired episodes. So for the folks here who were watching live back in 2002, did you know it was over right away or did the movie a few years later feel like the real ending?
