Hot take: the best interview advice I got came from a stranger at a bus stop in Denver
I was heading to a final round in 90 degree heat and this older guy just says 'stop rehearsing answers, tell them what you'd actually do on day one.' I switched my whole approach that morning, talked specifics about their systems instead of generic strengths, and got the offer. Anyone else ever get solid career advice from a random person at the worst possible moment?

Drove past a broken down car once and stopped to help, guy turns out to be a retired CFO who spent 20 mins telling me why job hopping every 2-3 years is the only way to actually get raises. Never met him again but I've doubled my salary since using that advice. Bus stop guy sounds like some kind of career wizard honestly.
