Showerthought: I turned down a $12k raise to stay at a job I liked, 8 months later I'm not sure I was right
Back in January my boss at the insurance office in Boise offered me a team lead spot with about $12,000 more a year, but it meant managing 6 people I used to sit next to. I said no and kept my old desk job because I liked leaving at 5 and not dealing with other folks' problems. Now two of those people quit and guess who keeps getting pulled into their meetings anyway? Has anyone taken the money and wished they hadn't, or is it always worth it?
