Stop writing 'I'm a quick learner' and actually prove it in interviews
For three years I hired at a retail chain in Austin and every single applicant said they were a fast learner. It means nothing. Last month I interviewed someone who said it, and when I asked how they'd handle a POS crash, they froze. Tell me a story instead. Give me a time you learned a tool in under a week or fixed a problem with zero training. I wait for this in interviews and it separates everyone. How do you guys screen for this without sounding like a jerk?
