That LinkedIn 'premium' trial actually landed me a job interview last month
I was always skeptical of paying for LinkedIn Premium because it felt like a money grab. My coworker kept pushing me to try it, so I signed up for the 1 month free trial back in February. I used the InMail feature to message a hiring manager at a company in Austin I'd been watching for 6 months. She replied within 2 days and I had a first round interview scheduled by that Friday. The job didn't work out in the end, but the connection got me a referral to another role there. Has anyone else seen real results from premium or was this just lucky timing?

Took the free trial a couple years ago and honestly it was worth it just for the InMail credits. I messaged a few people and got one real response that turned into a phone screen. Nothing came of that particular job but the person I talked to ended up remembering me when a different spot opened up six months later. The trick is to be really specific in your message, not just copy pasting the same thing to everyone. If you're actively job hunting and know which companies you want to target, the free month can pay off even if it feels awkward reaching out cold like that.

Yeah I used to think InMail was just spam but honestly you changed my mind on that.
