That Tuesday I froze up during a client meeting taught me a hard lesson about prep work

I went in with only bullet points and ended up rambling for 10 minutes while the client checked his watch, so now I always rehearse my key points out loud the night before - has anyone else bombed a meeting because they thought winging it was fine?

Yeah but @the_sandra at least you got a cat story out of it, how many people walked away with nothing but awkward silence? Idk I feel like rehearsing out loud is way more useful than people give it credit for because your brain just freezes differently when you're actually saying the words. Did you ever go back and try a different prep method after that or just double down on winging it?
