Took me 3 days to fix a resume formatting glitch that was a single line break
I spent like 8 hours across 3 evenings trying to figure out why my resume kept breaking when I uploaded it to job portals. Turns out there was an invisible line break in the middle of my job title from copy pasting from Google Docs. I felt so dumb when I finally found it by copying everything into plain text and seeing the gap. That little mistake was probably why I wasn't getting callbacks for the first month. Has anyone else had their resume get mangled by weird formatting bugs? It would be nice to know I'm not the only one who wasted time on this.

Ngl things like that are exactly why I think we’ve all gotten way too used to trusting formatting that secretly hides bugs. Like, it’s not just resumes either. I’ve had spreadsheets break in the middle of a budget because one cell had a weird hidden character from a copy paste. It’s like these apps just assume you’ll never need to see the actual raw text but that’s where all the gremlins live. Honestly wish programs had a simple button labeled "show me everything that’s hiding in here.

Right, but have you actually found a button like that anywhere that actually worked?
